My favorite feature of these is the offset on the jaws. That offset keeps your hands away from the sheet metal as you cut it, saving you a lot of money on bandages. They measure about 10" long overall, and the jaws are about 2 3/4" long. You can cut a nice straight line or a curve with these, and they have one jaw with small teeth to hold the metal in place as you cut. They are made of carbon steel which can rust if not taken care of, but which keeps it's sharp edge longer than stainless steel. I have cut up to 20 gauge silver with these, but for anything heavier than that you should use a bench shears or saw. They can also be re-sharpened if ever needed.
